His Royal Majesty Oba Sulaiman A. Bamgbade, Arole Olofin Ogunfunminire alongside selected Awori Obas including Olota of Ota, Onijanikin of Ijanikin, Oloja Ekun of Igbesa, Osolo of Isolo, Elewu of Ewuland, The Central Planning Committee and AWAN paid a Courtesy visit to The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Yesterday at the State House, Marina.
The Monarchs and the team were there to solicit the support of the State Government towards the hosting of the Awori Day Cultural festival, designed to showcase the cultural elements of the Awori tribe.
The Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Babajide Sanwoolu gave his support and pledged to be part of the historic event. He also named some members of his cabinet who would be part of the organizers to the event.
