February 3rd, 2024– The Hidayah Humanitarian Empowerment Foundation celebrated its 6th Anniversary at Crescent University, Abeokuta, featuring addresses by distinguished speakers including His Royal Majesty, the Arole Olofin Ogunfunminire, Alayeluwa Oba (Engr.) Sulaiman Adekunle Bamgbade, Ayodele Ẹdun Alaka III, the Olofin of Isheri, Adimula, and natural head of all Awori Kingdoms.
Addressing the attendees, His Royal Majesty Olofin Bamgbade emphasized the pivotal role of youth in driving the success and development of the continent. He poetically likened the youth to young trees that constitute the forest, stating, “They are the young trees that make up the forest.”
Under the theme “TRANSFORM YOUR FUTURE,” His Royal Majesty delved into the challenges hindering youth involvement in leadership, highlighting the prevalent fears and lack of self-confidence among the youth. This setback, according to the Olofin, leads to a loss of hope and restricts their growth and potential.
His Royal Majesty recommended a shift in mindset, urging, “The youth have to promote social bonding and engage in cultural activities.” Emphasizing the importance of positive relationships with both adults and peers, he stressed the need for the youth to embrace these connections to foster personal and collective growth.
The event also featured impactful addresses from other distinguished speakers, including Barrister Kayode Akinsola, PhD, Princess Pharmacist Seliat Taiwo Adio, and Abdulhakeem Akanji Mba, who shared valuable insights on youth empowerment and leadership.
As the Hidayah Humanitarian Empowerment Foundation celebrates its 6th year, the organization remains committed to nurturing and empowering the youth. The Foundation echoes His Royal Majesty’s call for a more engaged and confident youth, ready to take on leadership roles and contribute significantly to the development of the continent.
